I am a Nigerian with a Masters in Innovation and Entrepreneurship and I’ve always been interested in farming. I recently started speaking with Growcer in Ottawa and Farm Anywhere in Vancouver to start up farming.
How long have you been farming and why are you interested in farming in Canada:
I was born into farming, with my parents being farmers. Later I also did snail farming.
Considering the demographics in Canada, with number of recent immigrants, I believe there is the need for local taste which requires importation, but not being fresh on arrival. It also makes it costly’
So I believe it is also an opportunity to be explored and introduced to other consumers beyond the African stores.
