Tell us about yourself:
I’m a beginning Afro-Indigenous farmer interested in growing foods known for increasing fertility and pregnancy outcomes. I have partnered with a Kenyan physician in Ontario to determine what agricultural products are best suited for black mothers who’ve experienced perinatal & pregnancy loss. We are determined to address the black maternal health crisis in North America using African, Caribbean, and Indigenous foods as medicine.

How long have you been farming and why are you interested in farming in Canada:
My husband and I have owned our property in Tennessee for three years. We are in the process of obtaining USDA and Regenerative Organic Certifications concurrently before we begin production. Once we’ve obtained our certifications, we will begin production.
